1st Lord – Sir John de Lisle, who was summoned to Parliament as Baron Lisle.

2nd Lord – John de Lisle is knighted with others including the Prince of Wales.  Sir John served as a Baron of the Exchequer and High Sheriff three times.

4th Lord – John de Lisle is created 1st Lord Lisle of Rougemont and admitted to the newly formed Order of the Garter.

5th Lord – John de Lisle took up the hereditary Wardenship of Chute Forest.  He was regarded as the most important land owner on the Isle of Wight.  He serves as a Justice of the Peace and is knighted on the eve of King Henry IV’s coronation.  He was immediately appointed to royal commissions and regarded as a “King’s Knight”.  Sir John became a Knight of the Bath and is twice elected as a Knight of the Shire and Member of Parliament for Hampshire.  Sir John is appointed High Sheriff of Wiltshire, then Governor of Guernsey.
