Become the 25th Lord and Lady of Little Gatcombe

1st Lord – Fulk de Wymeringes owed military service of eight days, in time of war, to Porchester Castle.

3rd Lord – Geoffrey Lisle owed the same eight days of military service but it was specified that the man must be armed with a lance, helmet and shield.

9th Lord – William Bramshott was elected a Knight of the Shire and Member of Parliament for Sussex.  William serves two terms as High Sheriff of Hampshire.

13th Lord – Edmund Dudley is chosen as Speaker of the House of Commons.  With the death of King Henry VII Edmund is attained for high treason.  Whilst imprisoned he wrote a political allegory, “Tree of Commonwealth” in support of absolute monarchy, no doubt to gain favour with King Henry VIII.  It does not work and he is beheaded on Tower hill.

14th Lord – William Erneley is appointed a Justice of the Peace and elected a Member of Parliament.
