(1) The Lordship of Pryors was held by the Prior of Dunmow until King Henry VIII dissolves the priory. (2) King Henry VIII grants Pryors to Sir Robert Radcliffe, 1st Earl of Essex. (3) Sir Robert proposes, with King Henry's approval, that King Henry's illegitimate son Henry Fitz Roy be advanced to the Crown ahead of Princess Mary. He also assists with King Henry's divorce from Anne Boleyn.
