Become the 20th Lord and Lady of Chaceley Grendour

1st Lord – Before the Conquest Chaceley parish is divided into four lordships held by Alward, Alwy, Brictric and Godric.  They all owed service to the Abbey of Westminster St Peter.

2nd Lord – At Domesday the four lordships have been combined under Urse Abetot, the Norman baron of Salwarpe.  He is instructed to build the first Worcester Castle.  Urse is appointed High Sheriff of Worcestershire. and later Constable of the King’s Household and one of the first Barons of the Exchequer.

3rd Lord – Walter de Beauchamp holds the right to hunt wolves and foxes in the royal forests of Worcestershire. He is also a member of the royal household, although he lives in Elmley Castle.  Walter is appointed High Sheriff of Worcestershire.

4th Lord – William de Beauchamp is appointed High Sheriff of Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire at different times during his life.

6th Lord – Walter de Beauchamp is a witness at the re-issue of Magna Carta with King Henry I.
