1st Baron – Walter the Deacon, a Normans is a royal almoner (a distributor of alms/charity).  Walter owes soldiers to the castle guard at Windsor Castle.

2nd Baron – Robert de Windsor is custodian of Windsor Forest by the right of his wife.

5th Baron – Ralph de Cornhill (by the right of his wife Alice) is appointed High Sheriff of Surrey. Alice re-marries Sir Godfrey de Louvain who serves as Constable of Eye Castle.

7th Baron – Sir Matthew de Louvain is a soldier who serves under King Henry III and King Edward I fighting against the French, Scots and Welsh.

12th Baron – Henry Bourchier is summoned to Parliament as Viscount Bourchier and Appointed Lord Treasurer of England.  Henry joins the Yorkists and fights at the Battle of Northampton.  He is made Keeper of the Great Seal.

13th Baron – Henry Bourchier serves as Lieutenant-General of the Spears at the sieges of Teroenne and Tournay.  He is later appointed Chief Captain of the King’s forces.
