Become the 19th Lord and Lady of Forton

1st Lord – Tosti Godwinson, Earl of Northumbria, brother of King Harold.  Tosti led a rebellion with King Harald III of Norway to take the English throne which fails at the Battle of Stamford Bridge and Tosti is killed.

2nd Lord – Ivo de Taillebois, Baron of Kendale, who had provided men, horse and ships to William the Conqueror.

9th Lord – William III de Lancaster grants Forton to Ellis le Fleming for a rent of four barbed arrows per annum.

14th Lord – Thomas Holt of Gristlehurst was a reverend and Justice of the Peace.  Thomas was knighted.

17th Lord – Thomas “Posthumous” dies leaving Forton to his son and heir John “Goodhand”.
