1st Lord – William Passelewe, who owed service to Walter Giffard.
9th Lord – Sir Henry Green who was a Chief Justice and allegedly dismissed for heinous breaches of trust.
10th Lord – Henry Green is knighted and entered the service of John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster. Sir Henry was appointed a Commissioner of Arrest for Nottinghamshire. He served a 9 year career as a Justice of the Peace and assisted with the suppression of the Peasant’s Revolt. Sir Henry was reported as being one of a small group of men who viciously tortured and killed a Carmelite friar who made accusations of treason against the Duke. He advanced a loan of £1,000 on the Duke’s behalf to the King of Portugal in preparation for the invasion of Castile. Sir Henry supported the Duke of Gloucester and earl of Arundel who took control of the government of England. He was elected a Knight of the Shire and Member of Parliament for Huntingdonshire. Sir Henry heard appeals in the Court of Chivalry and is elected a Knight of the Shire and Member of Parliament for Northamptonshire. Sir Henry was appointed Co-keeper of Rochester and Leeds Castles as a reward for a diplomatic mission to Scotland. Sir Henry fought in the defence of Bristol Castle, and when it fell Sir Henry is beheaded.
11th Lord – Ralph Green was appointed High Sheriff of Northamptonshire and took part in the Welsh Wars. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in Northamptonshire. Ralph was appointed an Esquire of the Body to King Henry IV. Later he took part in the second invasion of Normandy with King Henry V where he died.
14th Lord – Sir John Stafford, by the right of his wife Constance, was made Steward of the Duchy of Cornwall for life. He was created Earl of Wiltshire by King Edward IV and also appointed Chief Butler of England. Sir John was a made a Knight of the Bath and bore the Queen’s crown at the coronation of King Richard III.
21st Lord – John Cullen was appointed High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire.
