The land later known as WAKE MANOR became the property of Ida, another daughter of Ela de Beauchamp, who married John de Steyngreve. It followed the same descent as Wake Manor in Bromham (q.v.), passing from the Steyngreves to the Patishulls and the Wakes, but after the death of Sir Thomas Wake in 1458 no further mention has been found of this property, which may have become absorbed in the larger manor of Cardington.
