In the 16th century deeds relating to the second manor of Burghfield, the so-called manor of AMNERS COURT, is continually mentioned. It belonged with Burghfield to the co-heirs of Lord Williams in 1560 when it was granted to Nicholas Williams, and afterwards passed with Burghfield Manor. Amners Farm still exists, and belongs to Mr. J. H. Benyon.
