The Domesday tenant, Serlo de Ros, appears to have been followed by the Passelowes, as in Biddenham Manor (q.v.), for Gilbert Passelowe held 1 hide of the barony of Bedford at the time of the Testa, but no subsequent mention has been found of the estate, which probably became absorbed in the larger manor owned by the Passelowes in this parish.
