Previous Lords:
The fifth part of a fee was held by the Gustard family in the 14th century of that part of the barony of Bedford which passed to the Wakes and Patishulls. Falk Gustard is mentioned as holding in 1302 and 1315, and was succeeded by William Gustard, in possession in 1346. Nothing further is heard of this fee, and the last mention of the family occurs in 1351, when Thomas de Goldington received a pardon for killing Robert son of Falk Gustard in self-defence.
