An estate known as LA HULLE seems to have been situated in the south-west corner of the parish, near Ham Spray. In the 13th century certain lands here were granted by Simon Punchard (Punsard, Pozard) to his son Walter. This estate appears to have followed the same descent as Ponzardesland in Hungerford until 1294.
