In 1086 Pirot held the other 1½ hides of Eudo, part of which in 1284–6 was held by Thomas de Kancia, and became known later as CARMINOS or LOWER CALDECOTE MANOR. It was held of the barony of Eaton, and the last reference to the overlordship is in 1428.
