Previous Lords:
The earliest mention of the manor of TIDMARSH occurs in 1239, when the estate was the subject of a dispute between Geoffrey the son of John de Thedmers or Tidmarsh and his half-sister Juliane the wife of Adam the son of Hervey. The manor was held by service of finding one knight to guard the castle of Wallingford for forty days in time of war, by scutage and by suit of court at Wallingford. The overlordship continued to form part of the honour of Wallingford (q.v.) until 1500, when it is last mentioned.
