Become the 17th Lord and Lady of Edgiock

1st Lord – Sir George Throckmorton JP.  He mortgages Edgiock to John Legh of London.

2nd Lord – John Throckmorton serves six terms as a Member of Parliament.  John is knighted by Queen Elizabeth I.  He is appointed a councillor for the Welsh Marches and is accused of mismanagement, heavily fined and imprisoned.  He leaves a son and heir Francis.

3rd Lord – Francis Throckmorton, a Catholic, meets with agents of Mary, Queen of Scots.  Francis returns to England and acts as an intermediary with the imprisoned Mary. He is discovered by Sir Francis Walsingham (Queen Elizabeth’s spymaster) and is tortured on a rack until he confirms the plans to overthrow Queen Elizabeth. A year later he retracts his confession but he is still attained (convicted of treason) and executed.

8th Lord – John Savage is appointed High Sheriff of Worcestershire.
